SALGÓTARJÁN – LOSONC MARATONVÁLTÓ

The International Novohrad Marathon Relay is a relay race between Salgótarján and Lučenec, covering 42.2 km in six stages for teams of 4–6. The route passes through scenic settlements, with runners completing the full distance in relay. The event has a friendly atmosphere, with refreshment stations and goulash at the finish, while cultural programs add to the day. The race takes place on August 23, 2025. Online registration is available until August 20; afterward, on-site registration is possible only if places remain.

The relay is for teams of at least 4 and at most 6 runners, with handoffs at the relay points. Runners must be at least 15 years old. The full course runs alongside traffic, on the left-hand side, and traffic regulations must be followed. Members of the first 30 teams receive medals, and the top three finishers in each category win cups. The course passes through several towns, with refreshment stations every 5 km, online registration and the possibility of on-site registration, and cultural programs and concerts at the finish.
