VASKAPU TRAIL

The Vaskapu Trail is a nature-oriented trail running race in Esztergom, offering challenges on three different distances: 8 km, 16 km, and 22 km. The race route runs on trails and marked hiking paths, with minimal road sections, allowing participants to enjoy the beauty of nature and the varied terrain. The event is environmentally conscious, featuring cup-free refreshment stations and supported by the Green Forest program. The start and finish are at the Vaskapu Restaurant, at the Brilli Gyula shelter, where runners also have access to comfortable changing and luggage storage facilities.

The race uses chip timing, which can be rented for a deposit of 2000 HUF. The event is cup-free, so participants must bring their own water bottle or cup. Race packets are available on the race day at the race center; early pickup is not possible. Registration cancellations are accepted until October 15, 2026; afterward, registration can only be transferred to the next year. Separate female and male changing rooms and built-in toilets are available at the race center; there are no washbasins. Every finisher receives a medal, and the top three female and male overall finishers will receive special awards. Hydration equipment is mandatory for the race, and on-site changing and luggage storage services are provided. Environmentally friendly solutions are implemented to support participants.
